JOB OPENINGS:

CRUSHER SUPERINTENDENT – This position is located near North Powder, Oregon.

Duties include all aspects of management including planning, scheduling, directing, and coordinating all rock crushing production and direction and supervision of employees. Follow MSHA and enforce company policy as it relates to safety and quality.

Qualified candidates should have 5 years previous experience in quarry/mining industry with technical knowledge of mining and mining equipment. Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others and effectively address conflict.  Pay $55k-$75k DOE. Benefits package included.

CRUSHER FOREMAN – These positions are located near Burns and North Powder, Oregon.

Duties include managing the crushing plant and crew and follow MSHA and company safety policies. Recognize and communicate to Manager any problems. Regularly communicate with the mechanic about repair and maintenance needs on all major pieces of equipment. Able to operate a loader, dozer and haul truck. Must be willing to work long hours, 5-6 days per week, willing to work nights and weekends when necessary and in all environmental conditions.

Qualified candidates should have prior experience in a similar role or sand and gravel environment, along with welding skills, knowledge of equipment, machines and tools. Experience with aggregate equipment is preferred. Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) Training, preferred but not required. Wages $17-$18 per hour DOE plus benefits.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR – This position is located near North Powder, Oregon.

Candidate must have ability to operate large straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with and drive heavy end dump haul trucks front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport aggregate materials.  Able to operate loader to move materials. Performs routine maintenance on equipment, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.  Minimum of 5 years experience in heavy equipment operation.  Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) Training preferred but not required.   Wages $16-$18 per hour DOE, plus benefits.

MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN (CAgT) TRAINEE This position is located near North Powder, Oregon.

Excellent long-term opportunity for a Materials Testing Technician Trainee.  Successful candidate will receive on the job training to become CAgT certified.  Will perform a variety of tests on aggregates including sieve analysis, fracture, sand equivalency and other tests; operate, calibrate and maintain testing equipment and tools and perform related duties as assigned. This position also includes support work for the office/scale house.

Successful candidate must have strong math, computer and time management skills, effective written and verbal communication, maintain confidentiality, attention to details, be dependable, organized and ability to work independently.  Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Wage range $12.50-$14.00/hour DOE, plus benefits.  Wage increase when certified.

CRUSHER GROUND LABORER – This position is located near North Powder, Oregon.

Must be able to ensure maintenance, setup, guarding, etc. is in place to meet MSHA safety guidelines, ground labor and material cleanup, belt adjustments and all other assigned duties. Applicant must be able to climb ladders and stairways, lift and carry 50 lbs, work in inclement weather conditions, work on equipment with low ground clearance.

Must have six months experience in physically demanding job.  Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) Training, preferred but not required.  Wages $12-$14/hour DOE.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC – This position is located near North Powder, Oregon.

Must be able to analyze malfunctions, repair, rebuild, and maintain the following types of equipment: bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, crushers and screeners in the field. Able to operate heavy equipment, including production machinery, loaders, excavators, dozers and haul trucks. Maneuver in, around, and on equipment including working on uneven ground. Climb and the possibility of working from high platforms. Lifting or moving heavy tools, equipment, and materials with team assist when appropriate.

Minimum of 3-5 years heavy equipment repair and maintenance. Must have complete set of master mechanic hand tools and impact wrenches through ¾” drive.  Fabricating skills preferred. Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) Training preferred but not required. Wages $16-$18 per hour DOE, plus benefits.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT WELDER – FABRICATOR This position is located in North Powder, Oregon.

Applicant must have complete set of serviceman tools, one (1) year experience in welding, cutting, fitting and fabricating, and reliable transportation to work site.  Prefer previous rock quarry or mine experience with MSHA certifications/training.

JOB DUTIES:

    • Perform scheduled maintenance
    • Identify malfunctions
    • Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts, such as bearings, pistons, and gears.
    • Overhaul and test major components, such as engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems for bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, crushers, screeners and conveyors, while in the field.
    • Maneuver in, around, and on equipment including working on uneven ground
    • Climb with the possibility of working from high platforms
    • Lift or move heavy tools, equipment, and materials with team assist when appropriate
    • Design, cut, bend, and shape metal in repairing existing equipment or may be involved in the creation of new structures or components to alter equipment in order to meet MSHA standards
    • Work in all weather conditions

Wages $15-$17 per hour DOE, plus benefits.

HEAVY DIESEL MOBILE MECHANIC – Travel to various locations to repair diesel motors and heavy equipment.

Perform maintenance and mechanic on loaders, trucks, dozers, rollers, chip spreaders and brooms. Current class A CDL and medical card required.  Prefer 3-5 years experience working on diesel motors and heavy equipment. Preference may be given to applicants who have their own tools and mobile equipment.  Pay DOE. Benefits package included.

WELDER – FABRICATOR This position is located in Burns, Oregon.

Skilled, dependable drivers to transport rock and concrete ready-mix to customer site.  Prefer experienced drivers. Must have Class A CDL and current medical DOT Card with clean driving record and able to pass a drug test.  Wages DOE, plus benefits.
